Huish
Detergents Inc, Corporate Headquarters - Salt Lake City, Utah
The Huish plan was derived from the simple gesture of a curve
in the reception area. As the 14,000 square foot corporate
headquarters design developed, the curve became an integral
element and theme throughout all spaces. The approach was
to soften the spaces through geometry and lighting. The palette
of materials and finishes are carefully limited, giving more
emphasis to the geometry and flow of spaces and creating the
quiet atmosphere sought by the client. Comfort and a well-lit
space, also imperative to the client, were accomplished with
the architect's play on curves.
Architectural
Nexus received the Theresa Bradley Spirit Award 2001 for Excellence
in Interior Design.
