Bridgton Hospital -- Bridgton, Maine

The Bridgton Hospital, a 21-bed hospital in Bridgton, Maine, is the first replacement hospital in the state of Maine in 30 years. This facility, acquired by Central Maine Health Care (CMHC), was operating with over 175 FTE's. The facility, faced with closure, turned to Central Maine Health Care to assist in building an operationally efficient hospital focused on the same principles of operation as the Heber Valley Medical Center in Heber, Utah, also designed by Architectural Nexus.

Special considerations were taken during the design process to implement new standards based on planning principles that drastically reduce the staffing needs of the facility.
