University of Utah Hospital Expansion West Pavilion -- Salt Lake City, Utah

Recently, University Health Care (University Hospital) commissioned Architectural Nexus to program and design the companion wing to the Eccles Critical Care Pavilion. In addition to the mission to provide a program and design for the “West-Pavilion”, our firm was charged with assisting the University in upgrading its facilities as part of an ongoing effort to renew the entire Health Science Campus. The resulting West Pavilion Expansion project is approximately 308,263 G.S.F. It includes a new 252, 495 S.F. six-story patient wing, along with a 55,768 S.F. 2 Level expansion of the Eccles Critical Care Pavilion, and a vertical expansion of the existing parking structure. This expansion is connected to the existing Eccles Critical Care Pavilion.
