Rodizio Grill - Orem, Utah

Architectural Nexus designed this specialty restaurant with several design considerations in mind, such as: culture, material, fluidity, style (which is a wide variety of meats served on skewers), and Curves. All of these elements needed to relate to the traditions, landscapes, and materials of the Brazilian culture. Special features include: the wide use of wood veneers and curvilinear millwork pieces to create a flavorful and playful atmosphere; metal work, light fixtures and sand blasted pieces were designed to relate to the angles used in the space; interior colors interplay with the curvilinear structures, and were originally selected from the traditional colors used during the Brazilian Baroque period; and the design of interior planter boxes, which allowed the visual break necessary in the open one level floor plan.
