X-Mission - Salt Lake City, Utah

Architectural Nexus restored the historic Willard Battery Station on 400 South between State Street and Main Street to house X-Mission, an internet service provider company. Nexus performed minimal restoration through removal of non-original building systems and cleaning of the historic materials. While keeping the historic nature of the project in mind, Nexus also had to create a very modern facility for a high-tech client. The result of Nexus efforts is a secure location for large scale web hosting company with keypad entry, a small public lobby, rack support systems for computer equipment, flexible service through access flooring, and exposed cable raceways. The facility has two usable floors with mechanical in the basement for a total of 5,000 square feet of floor space and 10,000 square feet of computer rack space.
