Firms First Office Outside of Utah Poised to Take Advantage of $200 Million in Arizona Health Care Developments Projected for the Next 12 Months

SALT LAKE CITY (Aug. 20, 2003) - Architectural Nexus, a principal architectural firm formed by the recent merger of Jensen Haslem P.C. and Thomas Petersen Hammond Architects, today announced the opening of the firm's Arizona office.

Architectural Nexus, which was awarded three contracts in the Grand Canyon State prior to its opening, is poised to capitalize on an estimated $200 million in new Arizona health care-related projects projected to commence over the next 12 months.

"There is a growing need for a full-service health care firm in the Arizona market," said Tim Thomas, Principal, Architectural Nexus. "We now have a strong practice in Phoenix with significant depth and history that, coupled with our specialists in Utah, will benefit not only our clients, but the quality of health care in Arizona."

Architectural Nexus' Arizona office currently houses a core team of experienced architects that will work closely with specialists from the Company's Salt Lake City and Logan offices. The Arizona office is projected to grow to 20-25 professionals in the next two years. Architectural Nexus is the largest architectural firm in Utah with more than 100 professionals and such marquee projects as the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah Eccles Critical Care Pavilion, and the University of Utah Health Science Center.
