BYU Heritage Halls

The new Brigham Young University Deseret Towers Replacement Housing complex includes 792 beds in four buildings. Each building includes a main entry lobby, a main interactive activity space on the main level with an adjacent exterior patio area, smaller activity spaces on each upper floor, acoustically proportioned and sound isolated music practice rooms, a laundry room and a 1,000 S.F. storage room in the basement for use by students who live in the building. The placement of the buildings within the site allows good views from the apartments to the open green space or to the main campus while maintaining appropriate distance between buildings to provide visual privacy from one building to the other. The arrangement of the buildings creates both large open areas and smaller intimate spaces to accommodate both large and small groups of students and their various activities.
