Community Projects:

Draper Recreation Center

The Draper Recreation Center includes spaces that were deemed the most desired by the Draper Community and identified as being needed by both Draper City and the Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The programmatic analysis reviewed possible facility amenities (i.e. leisure pool, fitness center, field house), reviewed the priority of the space by the community, the potential size and quality of the spaces and compared planning costs for each of the amenities. The known advantages and disadvantages associated with each facility amenity were reviewed, ranked and re-reviewed numerous times. A survey was developed to allow constituents to voice their priorities for amenities. At the end of the analysis a final space list was developed and re-assessed for compliance with site requirements and to maximize the use of the facility. The needs of other potential users of the facility, such as the Canyons School District and private schools in the area were reviewed. Ultimately the building included a Leisure Pool, Competition Pool, Exercise & Multi-use Spaces and an indoor turf field house.
