The Fortune School new campus will be built in a rapidly growing area of Elk Grove, Ca. and is scheduled to open for the fall of 2020. This charter school will ultimately house eight hundred students on an 8.5 acre site and will include an administration/dining building, a gymnasium building and a classroom building. All three buildings combined will total approximately 60,000 square feet. The Classroom Building will be two stories and will contain twenty-four classrooms. The Gymnasium Building will include a basketball court and spectator bleachers, locker rooms, and a weight room. Above the locker rooms, restrooms and weight room, this building will also include an Art Classroom, Special Ed Classroom, and Music Room with a Recording Studio. These classrooms connect to the second floor of the Classroom Building. Site landscaping includes green-screen walls, low-irrigation and low maintenance planting. An on-site bio-swale will treat storm water run-off from the paved areas naturally, through the use of vegetation and settlement.
