The F-22 Fueled Aircraft Overhaul and Test Facility included a new maintenance and painting complex for the USAF’s new “Raptor” fighter aircraft. This facility incorporates two fully integrated maintenance bays with ground power and hydraulic utilities for repair, upgrade and servicing F-22 aircraft. To ensure the full mission capability of the “low observables” are maintained, 3 paint booths are provided as a part of this complex along with an administrative support area. Since this is a new key facility on the east side of HAFB’s runway, a new 3-bay fire station has also been added to this design-build project by the US Army Corps of engineers.
