Millcreek Community Center

The Community Center integrates a library with recreational and senior amenities into a cohesive entity providing a space for all ages. Key elements include active and passive recreational environments. Flexibility, adjacencies, acoustics and functionality of the community center are carefully placed to create a flexible multipurpose space. This one building replaces several aging buildings that housed the senior center and library and combined them with a new Recreation Center on an existing site. This consolidation of buildings best serves this population and is a responsible use of the available land in this area. The building and park are LEED Gold, featuring reused gymnasium floors as an art installation, providing high efficiency energy and a pleasant light filled space.
