Education Projects:

Lake Tahoe Mobility Hub

The new Mobility Hub, located on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus, replaces the prefabricated standard bus stop with two new structures that are designed to enhance the comfort, safety and convenience of mass transit patrons, as well as for bike, e-bike, e-scooters, skateboard, and even winter cross country ski commuters. The project is a joint venture between Tahoe Transit District and the Community College, enhancing the mission of both agencies while improving service in the region and reducing pollutants. The new structures incorporate cantilevered structural arms that support overhead charging canopies for new electric buses, thus reducing the greenhouse gas emissions in South Lake Tahoe. The design is both fresh and bold, while also addressing the original campus architecture. Whether arriving by car, bus, bike or board, these structures are among the first that visitors see upon arriving on campus, and as such reflect the importance of their place in the community.
