Education Projects:

Westbrook Elementary School

The Westbrook Elementary school was intentionally designed through a collaborative process with multiple stakeholders across the city, county, and state to create a unique neighborhood amenity that supports a growing population. The school was sited using best practices for passive energy management, reducing overall energy usage and cost. The landscaping includes water-wise plants, and consistent placement of vegetation throughout the school. This emphasis on a sustainable landscape improved upon state regulations for efficient irrigation and reduced the intense heat island effect created by over usage of pavement. These plants also beautify the campus and provide a direct connection to nature for students, introducing them at an early age to the importance of nature in our daily lives. The shapes and colors of the buildings are playful, fun, and functional. Accent colors pop, window patterns reflect modern art, and specific features such as a built-in stage allow students to be creative. As more families move to the growing Roseville area, the Westbrook Elementary school will remain a place of pride for families and fond memories for students.
